Avoiding Toilet Paper Madness: Going Zero Waste in the Bathroom

We have all seen the stories about the empty shelves that were once full of toilet paper! The mass madness of stockpiling in case of emergency has hit again this time because of a pandemic. In this blog, I will show you how I avoided the toilet paper madness by going zero waste when it comes to toilet use. In order to go zero waste not only in the bathroom but more specifically in the toilet area, there are a few things you will need.

A Bidet Attachment

A toilet bidet attachment will make your bum feel fresh and clean every time! Not only has the bidet been around for hundreds of years it also removes the need to wipe your bum with toilet paper.

Washcloths

The second item you will need is a set of washcloths. You will use these to dry your bum and privates after using the bidet. You can use old socks, cut up old towels or clothes as well!

Small Pail With Lid

The small pail with lid replaces your garbage can and keeps all your wet rags in one place until you toss them in the washing machine. If you already have a baby genie they work well also! It is recommended you wash your washcloths at least once a week to avoid mildew and odor.

We hope this will help you go zero waste in the toilet area of your bathroom! For Zero Waste Tips on how to eliminate waste in other areas of your bathroom click here!
